It's that time again: another New Moon!! This one is in Pisces exact on March 6, 2019 12:06 EST. This one is personal for me (my own natal moon is in Pisces) but is also triggering a kind of fog over all of our eyes. Contrary to how many witches will say new moons are for manifesting, I find that the dark side of the moon asks us to return to ourselves before making any hasty actions. This New Moon is no different. Pisces is the dreamiest sign in the zodiac. She wants things that the other signs can't even imagine, she sees things that no other sign can see, she can create things that seem impossible to envision. So when the New Moon rests in her sign, I take this as a time to focus on & sit with what it is we see. What visions are we receiving in those small moments between everyday activities? What dreams are we having that just won't leave us alone? What would you begin to plan and manifest if the heavens were the limit? How many things have to come together in life for you to notice things are in no way coincidence? These are the questions that posed themselves when I sat on this New Moon. Saturn & Pluto sitting conjunct in Capricorn, both are working with the Moon to help you set new agreements in your life. Saturn (ruling structure, obstacles, investments, and stability) is in the process of breaking down why you want what you desire and how to calculate this into your higher purpose. Meanwhile, shadowy Pluto (ruler of transformation, rebirth, & death) is going to bring complete change into your life, which could mean the way you think, the people you're surrounded by, or the environments you're in most often are about transform if you're willing to step in one door and close another. This is a good thing, as both planets are triggering transition, a plot twist, to whichever of your deepest desires are triggered during this New Moon. Be open to acknowledging your dreams, goals, ambitions, and plans...then let those things be fluid. You may have even felt some weight, fear, or doubt in regards to these things in the last month or so as Mercury's moved into Pisces where Neptune also currently resides. All around there's A LOT of water presenting itself here. And Jupiter is sitting over in Sagittarius trying to push you into some type of external or internal exploration, but it will only come when you're at a point of least resistance. Key takeaway: BE FLUID! GO WITH THE FLOW! WU WEI! These desires and ideas are your spirit's way of leading you on the current to your purpose. It may even seem like you're charging in the dark, with nothing ahead of you but empty expectation, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. There always has to be, if there's darkness. The Universe uses these dreams to steer you in the shadows until you arrive at your destination. Sometimes it can almost feel like you're being taunted with something you struggle to believe in, but Pisces doesn't have room for doubt. She's the Seerer, the one with closest access to the Universe and it's messages, and what do most famous seerers and oracles tend to be in literature and history? Blind. This New Moon in Pisces, assisted by Mercury currently Rx also in Pisces, is asking you to sit for a moment in reflection; what is calling me? What signs are appearing within my dreams and in my outside environment? If I'm blind, what can I use to help me see clearer? Mercury adds that extra element of writing and sharing so after reflection we should attempt to communicate the messages we received. Great practices right now would be:
Mercury is still Retrograde, so don't text ya ex (unlessyoureallymeanit) Mother Moon also requires us to set boundaries for ourselves. I'll speak more about that in the Venus in Aquarius post, but right now with so many planets in Pisces we may be a bit prone to oversharing and letting people in who may not mean our highest good. *There is also the possibility of getting caught up in emotional trauma, grieving, depression, and other feelings like that. So be sure to set proper boundaries with yourself and the people around you so that you feel the most comfortable. *If you are experiencing intense emotional distress or thoughts to hurt yourself, please contact your health professional. I would love to give you a reading, but always check in on your health first. Pisces New Moon Water MagickNot only is Pisces the juiciest sign in the zodiac, but New Moons are a great time to do water work, because of the fresh energy of a phase beginning.
