On July 2nd we will be graced with both a New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Cancer. This is the first Eclipse of a new Capricorn-Cancer season, and I am here for it! Tomorrow will be all about the ebb and flow, our ability to release the old and embrace the new. We are in the midst of so many planetary disruptions, (four planets Retrograde and Mercury joining them on the 7th) and it's important to stay grounded. If we are aware of the cosmic energy and how it effects us, we will better be able to navigate through this lunar cycle and into next month.
Even though it's rough, Cancer season is so sympathetic and feel-y. A lot of us don't even take the time to sit down and feel our feelings during a regular work week, nonetheless an entire month of emotional impacts. But, this is perfect for us to really come back to center with our desires and what we "seeds" we want to continue nurturing through this season. The Solar Eclipse is going to bring up the things that may have been hiding in the shadows for us emtotionally or spiritually, and we'll see how these feelings have an effect on the Self that we project on the world. Then later that night with the New Moon we have the opportunity to release all that doesn't serve us, removing the dead leaves so that our the seeds we are watering can continue to grow with proper light and nutrients.
There is a delicate balance that happens on July 2nd with the Eclipse, and this guide is meant to help you through just that. Each separate PDF focuses on either the Solar Eclipse or the New Moon to give a whole view of the day ahead of us, cosmically. The practices and information described in both can be applied to a whole day of magick-making and ritual, or you can pick one to be your companion during the night or daytime (whenever you choose to practice).
